OK, but (my perspective) a bit hard to understand in sime if the loud emotional stages .. liked Eurydice more .

This is a truly special show: lyrical, heart breaking, and enthralling all at once. The blending of spoken text and music creates an atmosphere of awe unlike anything else you’ll see at the Fringe.

A great story incredibly well told, with beautiful music to accompany it.

Unfortunately, this otherwise promising, enjoyable show in a beautiful setting was marred by whole sections of shouted, rapid-fire, unintelligible narrative. The overly loud poetry slam, pseudo rap stylings did not serve the performance or the text. Really a shame because this could have been a great show.

Really didn’t work for me. Shouty monotone storytelling and weak, simpering songs. I longed to escape.

For all of us with broken hearts - I know what I'll be talking about at therapy tomorrow.

This show is storytelling at it's best, with music flowing through to tug at your heartstrings and involve you fully what's happening. You'll cry. You'll walk away wanting to see more. Couldn't recommend more!

Expert storytelling, beautiful music & performance filled with heart in the beautiful Mortlock Wing of the State Library. Highly recommend this stunning theatre experience (on all Fringe!)

Where Wright & Grainger’s 2025 Fringe production of Helios was quiet and tender, their 2026 production of Orpheus is loud and funny, that is until it takes you to an emotional edge. The duo’s continued genius is their use of space, enhancing the emotional journey they invite you on.
