A compelling concept but it felt like being monologued at by Michaelia Cash for an hour with nothing to take the edge off. Ultimately it failed to show don’t tell.

Martha Lott and her daughter Amelia are superb in this play of our times. It’s a lesson for how to navigate and manipulate the modern phenomena of social media. The tables are turned from the power of a mother to the power of a daughter when she learns that truth can be so easily be lies. What a great ‘debate’ and what an enthralling outcome when the power shifts in the last moments of ‘The Debate’. Highly recommended - 5 stars plus ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
