This show features Michelle Pearson’s amazing vocals and her fabulous band with an emotional story about overcoming body image issues. This is one of the musical highlights of this year’s Fringe.

Skinny absolutely blew me. The vocals are next level powerful and pure and every song hits you right in the chest. The story is so raw and honest it feels like it belongs to so many of us. OMG go see it!

We need more of this! Michelle was just incredible. Spectacular vocals backed by a talented band relaying Michelle's personal struggle with her desire to be socially acceptable, by being 'skinny'. Funny, sad, uplifting, relatable and worthy of the standing ovation she received at the end of the show. Well done Michelle, keep it up! So very enjoyable.

Such an amazing & entertaining exploration of a difficult subject. This is a show not just for those who have tried to lose weight - it gives a fantastic understanding for anyone who thought their chubby friend just wasn’t trying hard enough.

Every superlative applies. But first thing, Skinny is important - for women, men, girls and boys (however each of us identify with those terms). It’s important because it reminds us the beauty each of us should see in ourselves and to challenge culture that insists we see less. Onto the superlatives Michelle Pearson is Adelaide’s own powerhouse: sublime story teller, comedic, bold narrator, musical ingenuity and everything we hear and read about her vocal prowess is true!

Michelle is a fabulous storyteller and incredible singer. She tells her personal story with humour and vulnerability intertwined with great songs performed with her band. An exceptional show.

Wow ! This is the most complete & satisfying show I have seen. If Skinny does not take out a ‘Best of Fringe’ there is something seriously wrong ! It has EVERYTHING ! So fortunate that there was an extra show which I was able to see. How many stars can one give ? How many stars are in the sky ? 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Michelle has crafted a beautifully balanced show... that both tip-toes and dives into extreme vulnerability. Skinny is a true example of a performer giving themself over to an audience with the knowledge that we have their back. For anyone who has never felt like enough - Skinny is here to tell you that you always were, and always will be.
