If you’re a theatre kid this is a must watch! run, jump or dance!? and go see this, lots of laughs, compelling storytelling and relatable experiences. I’m completely hooked by Hannah’s work and you will be too.

I am a Hannah Maxwell devotee: because as well as being funny, wry and compelling they are also very, very clever. My Gay Lady is a collage of song, video, choreography and exquisite storytelling, and the overall effect is playful, chaotic and entirely disarming. This is a sweet, vulnerable, triumphant show, with broad appeal - go and see it before it’s too late.

A great show for anyone who has done - or like me, is still working - in amateur theatre. Maxwell is a superb storyteller and engages the audience brilliantly, and has plenty of identifiable stories and throwaway lines that hit home to any amdram-fan. Her spoken word is crisp and biting, her comedy dry but witty, and the theatrics are beautifully bold.

Hannah's I, AmDram is absolutely wonderful. Her storytelling is exceptional and you could spend far beyond just the hour listening to her! It's a beautiful story with lots of heart and humour and is definitely worth seeing this fringe!!!

Such great entertainment. Funny, poignant and personal. Really enjoyed tonight's performance and Hannah's lovely singing voice. The outdoor venue is suboptimal but Hannah is a real trouper. 👏👏👏
