Storytelling at its best! A perfectly crafted text and a performer who was able to take his audience from home to pub to war to the pit. The funeral scene was poignant in its simplicity and this production needs to tour. Bravo! 👏👏👏👏👏

What a stunning production. In Dust, Craig takes the audience on a roller coaster of emotions with the humour and wit that only a true Yorkshireman with dust in his blood could muster. Every second of this mesmerising performance was meticulously directed with such thought and heart by Charlaina. Her beautiful and clever writing, weaving a tale that reminds us never to forget. I can imagine this piece resonating deeply with the Edinburgh audience

Dust, Written, directed & produced by Charlaina Thompson is a masterpiece in storytelling. Performed by Craig McArdle, he delivers a powerful punch of a performance that is as nuanced & deeply layered as Thompsons text. The play is based on a true story of his grandfather & you feel the deep connection in every gesture on-stage. This epic monologue has you on the edge of your seat. It's an incredible piece of theatre & absolutely brilliant in creation and delivery. Go see it!

Great show. Well worth a visit

DUST is utterly outstanding. An incredibly well-researched reflection on a particular time in (UK) history, the themes are universal and resonate still. The writing is like poetry, delivered with determination and heart; a one-man show that is riveting from start to finish. Scouts for the 2026 Adelaide Festival, this play needs to be on the Dunstan Playhouse stage.

So happy to have come across this show! Very clever writing that kept us captivated the whole way through. Equally witty and thought provoking following the lifeline of such a worn down but colourful character. Acting was top tier. Very clever prop use and interactions with the crowd! Would see again!
