UK Arts Industry Leaders Celebrate Adelaide Fringe at Australia House
Tue, Jun 3 2025
Adelaide Fringe, the biggest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere, was celebrated this week in the heart of London, as the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and the Agent General of South Australia welcomed leading UK arts and culture figures to a special reception at Australia House.

Taking place on the 29th May, the event spotlighted Adelaide Fringe’s Industry Marketplace, Honey Pot, an internationally regarded platform that drives touring, commissioning and creative exchange across borders. Designed to connect artists with programmers, producers and presenters, the Honey Pot Marketplace continues to be a launchpad for Australian works to reach global stages.
Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall said, “Adelaide Fringe isn’t just Australia’s biggest arts festival—it’s a powerful international meeting point for creative commerce. To bring together industry leaders from across the UK at Australia House is a strong reminder of the value Adelaide Fringe holds in the touring ecosystem and the appetite for bold, innovative work that travels.”
The reception attracted representatives from major UK arts organisations, touring producers and long-time Fringe collaborators—many of whom have engaged with Adelaide Fringe’s Marketplace in previous years. Several first-time guests also expressed strong interest in attending the 2026 Adelaide Fringe to experience the festival firsthand.
Guests included Georgie Black Founding Director of House of Oz, Anna Miralis Commissioner at Channel 4, Tourism Australia and SATC London, British Council and Innovate UK, Kirsty Taylor Arts Promoter for Festivals Republic.
The Honey Pot Industry Marketplace, supported by CreateSA, enables thousands of one-on-one meetings between artists and delegates from around the world each year. In 2025, Honey Pot—the Marketplace’s flagship program—welcomed more than 403 delegates from 37 countries, contributing to over 5 million dollars in touring outcomes for artists.
The Adelaide Fringe Industry team will return to the UK later in the year to continue growing international connections and championing South Australia and its artists at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Adelaide Fringe 2026 will be held from 20 February to 22 March.
