We are all about supporting artists and local businesses, and that’s why for our Adelaide Fringe merchandise this year, we were eager to reach out to the locally-loved, SA brand Tea Towel Co for a collaboration!
A bit of background on Tea Towel Co...
This South Australian mother/daughter business started in 2015 after inspiration hit them the previous year.
In 2014, while clearing out their mother/grandmother's house, Beryl and Marchelle discovered a variety of gorgeous old Australian linen tea towels that they simply couldn’t bring themselves to throw away. So, they decided to turn them into cushions and from here, their humble business was born!
Alongside beautiful cushions, Tea Towel Co now also creates a large range of jewellery including an array of colourful earrings and SA-inspired brooches.
One of the many reasons we wanted to collaborate with Tea Towel Co was because of their dedication to sourcing South Australian materials to make their fabulous products with.
The 2021 collab creations take shape
Inspired by elements of the award-winning 2021 Adelaide Fringe poster, titled “Frederique Fringe” (below), created by artist Polina Tsymbal, the ladies got to work creating eye-catching merch for their Fringe 2021 collab!
