Meet our newest Foundation Board members

Fri, Jan 16 2026
The Adelaide Fringe Foundation Board plays a vital role in supporting the Adelaide Fringe Foundation and Adelaide Fringe's broader mission.
As an advisory committee of the Adelaide Fringe Board, our generous and dedicated members help guide fundraising initiatives and provide strategic advice to champion and strengthen Fringe's impact on artists, audiences, and the South Australian community building a thriving arts festival and sector for generations to come.

We are pleased to be welcoming three new members to the Foundation Board.

A long-standing advocate for the creative industries, her appointment will support the Foundation’s continued growth, philanthropic reach and ongoing commitment to the artists it champions and audiences of the Adelaide Fringe.

Dr. Matt Agnew is a passionate scientist, author, and an engaging Edutainer. His passion for all things science has seen him work as an astrophysicist, an engineer, a data scientist and of course as a scientific communicator across invited science talks, radio and TV. Matt's credentials span the STEM portfolio: a PhD in Astrophysics, a Masters in Artificial Intelligence, a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Applied Mathematics. Matt also leverages his platform and reach to speak candidly and vulnerably about his own mental illness, and to advocate loudly to further destigmatise and normalise conversations around mental illness.
