Wed, Jun 4 2025
Applications are now open for the 2026 Fringe Fund, giving artists, venues, producers and programmers the opportunity to bring bold, ambitious work to the biggest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere, Adelaide Fringe.

Delivered through Arts Unlimited, the Adelaide Fringe Foundation, the Fringe Fund exists to remove barriers and support participation in Adelaide Fringe, whether through enhancing access, enabling regional touring, or helping first-time and emerging artists take their work to the stage.

In 2025, the Fringe Fund dispersed over $1 million in grants to artists, collectives, venues and producers to help bring their shows to life. That support continues in 2026, with applications now open for projects that align with Adelaide Fringe’s values of inclusion, creative risk, and accessibility.

Adelaide Fringe CEO and Director, Heather Croall said, “This is about levelling the playing field for artists, especially those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in Fringe.”

“We’re looking to fund ideas that are audacious, impactful and creatively ambitious—projects that help shape the future of Adelaide Fringe and its place as a global leader in open-access arts.”

The 2026 Fringe Fund campaign seeks to amplify the work of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, creatives from regional South Australia, artists with a lived experience of disability, emerging voices, and those breaking new ground in form or subject matter.

This year’s Fringe Fund is made possible thanks to generous donations from individuals and businesses to Arts Unlimited, along with support from the South Australian Government.

Grant categories include artist access, audience access, operational support and regional touring. Applications will close at 11:59pm ACST on Friday 01 August 2025 with final recipients announced from mid-October.
