EOI Applications Open - Unbox Labs x Adelaide Fringe Residency

Adelaide Fringe in partnership with Unbox Labs in Goa is pleased to announce a special residency program supported through the Australian Consulate General Mumbai.

The Australia–India Connections Program 25–26 offers a three-week residency for a South Australian artist to develop a new hybrid or digital storytelling work at Unbox Labs in Goa, India, in collaboration with Adelaide Fringe and Unbox Cultural Futures.

About the Residency Program

This unique incubator program is for a South Australian artist who is placed for three weeks in Unbox Labs, 5 days a week with shared facilities, to progress a new work in its second or third stage of development to the next level, culminating in a season as part of Adelaide Fringe. We are most interested in supporting an artist with a digital storytelling work that is hybrid or digital in creation and delivery that investigates the intersection of storytelling and technology.

The residency will take place between November 2025 and February 2026, providing space, mentorship, and intercultural exchange at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling.
This residency will culminate in the delivery of a session(s) as part of Adelaide Fringe - and present/ run a short workshop that summarises your time at the residency. There may also be the opportunity to explore a presentation at EyeMyth Media Arts Festival in Delhi in February 2026.

About Unbox Labs

Unbox Labs in an interdisciplinary cultural venue and residency space operated by Unbox Cultural Futures in Goa, India. Unbox Cultural Futures is located 15 mins from Goa’s capital, the space brings together artists, designers, performers, and thinkers to create, reflect, and collaborate at the intersection of art, tech, and social practice through residencies, research, immersions, showcases, and experimental gatherings.
