A total of 228 grants have been awarded through the Adelaide Fringe Foundation, with funding directed toward supporting diverse, innovative and creative projects that will bring bold new ideas to life across the 2026 season in February and March.
Adelaide Fringe Executive Director, Programs and Development, Jo O’Callaghan said the initiative reflects the festival’s ongoing commitment to removing financial barriers for artists and ensuring a thriving, accessible arts ecosystem.
“At its heart, Adelaide Fringe is about giving artists the platform and support to take creative risks. We’re thrilled to be able to provide over a million dollars in direct funding this year, helping hundreds of artists, producers and venues make their work possible, many of whom might not otherwise be able to participate.”
“We’ve seen Fringe-funded projects tour nationally, win awards and connect with audiences around the world. This funding is about investing in that spark, the idea that starts here in Adelaide and goes on to make an impact well beyond our city.”
The grant program is underpinned by a collaborative funding model that brings together Government support through Create SA, philanthropic giving via the Adelaide Fringe Foundation and Donor Circle, and corporate partners. Working in concert, these contributions translate directly into new work, touring pathways and audience access across South Australia and beyond.
Adelaide Fringe thanks the Government of South Australia and Create SA for their support.
The Foundation’s impact can already be seen through past recipients, whose work has gone on to achieve national and international success after debuting at Adelaide Fringe.

In addition to direct grant funding, Adelaide Fringe continues to support artists through Arts Industry Collaborations, providing networking, touring and industry development opportunities that help connect South Australian artists to new stages and audiences.
