Adelaide Fringe Announces the Launch of the 2025 Accessibility Guide – Making Arts Accessible to All

Adelaide Fringe is proud to launch its 2025 Accessibility Guide, a comprehensive resource designed to help Fringe become the most accessible and inclusive festival in the world. The guide is part of Adelaide Fringe’s commitment to ensuring that everyone—regardless of ability—can fully participate in and enjoy the festival.

The 2025 Accessibility Guide provides detailed information on accessible performances and support services, including:
  • Audio Description
  • Auslan interpretation
  • Relaxed Performances
  • Tactile Tours
  • Open and Closed Captioning
This year, new and improved accessibility initiatives ensure greater ease of access for audiences with diverse needs.

Key Accessibility Features at Adelaide Fringe 2025
  • Ear defenders available for hire at Box Offices for patrons sensitive to sound.
  • Additional mobility devices available at Sleeps Hill Tunnel, making this unique immersive venue more accessible.
  • Expanded venue access videos, now including Holden Street Theatres to provide better insights into venue facilities.
  • Enhanced accessibility icons in the guide and website to improve communication of venue environments and services.
  • Continued support for the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative, ensuring better recognition and assistance for attendees with non-visible disabilities.
  • Training for customer service staff and volunteers in Autism Awareness, Human Guide training, Deaf Awareness, and supporting Hidden Disabilities Sunflower wearers.
  • Visual communication boards and hearing loops available at box offices.
  • SACARE Carers Lounge in a new location closer to the East end hubs continues for its second year in 2025, offering a dedicated space for changing, feeding, and low sensory needs.
  • Quiet spaces at all Fringe-managed events to assist those needing a break from sensory stimulation.
  • Complimentary Companion Card tickets available for all events.
  • Increased guidance for venues during registration, ensuring better identification of accessibility provisions across all locations.

  • Online PDF & Issuu version on the Adelaide Fringe website.
