Adelaide Fringe 2025 Wraps with Over 1 Million Tickets Sold and Record Attendances Across the State

While the curtain came down on the 2025 season of Adelaide Fringe last Sunday night, encore performances and regional shows continued to light up stages this week. Now, with final figures tallied, the 2025 season has delivered another phenomenal result —1,066,515 tickets sold, marking a 2.5% increase on 2024 and reaching the million tickets milestone for the third year in a row.

The box office total paid directly to artists and venues reached $26.7 million — a vital stream of income that supports thousands of creatives to keep making and sharing their work.
Fringe continued to drive tourism, with 60,500 national and international visitors attending the festival. Across five weeks, with the festival generating more than 5 million total attendances, as audiences packed streets and venues across the city, suburbs and regions to experience world-class art, culture and performance.
Director and CEO of Adelaide Fringe Heather Croall, said, “We are thrilled to have seen so many people from around Australia and the world embracing Fringe again this year. Fringe has once again proven to be not just a celebration of creativity, but a vital part of South Australia’s cultural and economic landscape.”
The 2025 season featured more than 1,400 shows across 500+ venues, from immersive experiences and experimental theatre to music, visual art installations, and some of the best cabaret, comedy and circus talent in the world.
Adelaide Fringe returns in 2026 from Friday 20 February to Sunday 22 March.
