Silver-clay: A Jewellery Making Experience
Fringe award-winning jewellery workshop returns! Join artist Shirley Wu to explore silver-clay, a soft material that transforms into fine silver jewellery when fired. There are 3 experiences offering:
20 FEB – 22 MAR Organic Ring with Stone: Hand-form a personalised silver ring and set heat-safe stones such as cubic zirconia.
1 MAR ONLY Casting Nature into Jewellery: Bring along leaves, shells, fossils or found objects and learn to capture their textures into a pendant or earrings.
8 MAR ONLY Silver Origami Jewellery: Explore delicate paper-folding techniques in silver-clay to create intricate earrings or pendant.
No experience needed. Each piece is kiln-fired and polished at Shirley’s CBD studio and ready for pickup within 3–5 working days. Extra silver-clay available for larger designs.

Shirley Wu is an Adelaide-based multidisciplinary artist specialising in jewellery-making, glass art, and performance art. With over four years of experience working with glass, metal, and silver-clay, she brings deep craftsmanship and creative expertise. For the past three years, she has guided participants of all skill levels through creating personalised jewellery art. Shirley’s teaching style is fun and clear, taking participants step by step through each process. Her workshops focus on hands-on learning, leaving participants with both a stunning jewellery piece and knowledge of silver-clay techniques in a supportive environment.Social media
