Natyam Repertory Dance Troupe
Natyam Repertory Dance Troupe, a renowned folk and classical dance group, was established on April 30, 2010. Specializing in Bengali folk and classical dance, it has gained recognition through performances in various notable festivals. The troupe has been featured in programs on Baishakhi TV, MyTV, DeshTV, Machranga TV, Bijoy TV, and Baishakhi TV. Natyam regularly participates in traditional folk festivals across Bangladesh, including Pahela Baishakh, Borsha Boron, Nabanno Festival, Paush Parban Baran, and Baul Utsav, bringing the rich heritage of Bengali dance to audiences nationwide. The group also aims to preserve and promote the cultural richness of Bengali folk traditions while incorporating modern dance elements into their performances.

Mahmuda Akhtar, born on September 6, 1987, in Madaripur, Bangladesh, began learning dance at age 8. At 10, she completed a 4-year diploma in folk dance from Shilpakala Academy, winning multiple competitions, including first place in Shishu Academy contests. In 2008, she formed a children's dance group, earning recognition as the best dance director. She taught dance at Niketan Children's School in 2009 and won college awards for dance, acting, and recitation in 2010. Trained in Bharatanatyam in 2011, she performed in national programs and Indian states. In 2014, she completed a drama diploma from Abdullah Al Mamun Theater School, excelling in makeup, costume design, choreography, and acting. Mahmuda has acted in 28 plays, directed 11, and performed over 100 stage shows.
