What Would Gary Do? WWGD
What Would Gary Do?”, is inspired by the late 90’s - early 2000’s phenomenon of “What Would Jesus Do?”—but with a twist. Growing up in the charismatic church, my personal experience was quite the opposite of that concept, and this show reflects that journey in a humorous yet thoughtful way.
The main character, Gary, is a beautifully-hearted boy who simply loves everyone and strives to do his best for those around him. While the story touches on heartfelt and sometimes darker themes, it is ultimately uplifting and filled with hope. He shows love, grace and compassion to those who need it
Presented by: Marc Ryan The Beautiful Bogan
I’m Marc Ryan, also known as the Beautiful Bogan, a comedian for 12 years and a mental health advocate for the past 4. In 2018, a work experience triggered memories of childhood trauma, leading to PTSD, severe anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Instead of hiding, I chose to share my journey, hoping to normalize conversations around mental health. My message: it’s not the struggles (the “lemons”) that break us but the emotions they bring up. I speak openly to remind others, especially men, they aren’t alone. From families to work sites, my mission is to inspire real conversations. Life is priceless—let’s protect it together.
