The Irish writer/ actor Eoin Ryan isn’t having a midlife crisis! He made a promise on the Australian Trawler to help other people. He waited 24 years to figure out how to share his story. First came the book in 2017. Then a TEDx talk in 2022 giving Eoin the idea to expand into a play.
With no theatre experience he first performed Trawled in Sept 2023 in front of 170 people. In 2024 he took a chance on going to the Edinburgh fringe. The play was shortlisted for the BBC Popcorn award and received 5 star reviews.
His goal at Edinburgh was to be invited to perform in Australia, back where the story is based.
Trawled is an unforgettable and entertaining story with an important message. Eoin sold his events business to commit 100% to sharing it. Trawled is crafted from passion & perseverance.
