Presented by: The Q on Hallett
The Q on Hallett, is a wonderful chandelier-lit venue that has been lovingly renovated and restored to host Music Nights, Art Exhibitions, High Teas, various other Performing Arts and Private Functions.
It is a City and State Heritage Building because it was the first purpose-built Sunday School in Adelaide (1878). It has had many incarnations since, including being used by the Stow Church as a soup kitchen during the Depression.
Most famously, it was the Q Theatre during the 1970's where Don and Betty Quinn produced many plays and nurtured a large number of up and coming performers.
One of the upstairs rooms was the office of Robert Stigwood before he went on to manage The Bee Gees and Cream; and produce 'Hair', 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'Evita', 'Saturday Night Fever' and 'Grease'!
