Strings 'n' Songs on Sunday
Be swept away by gorgeous folk, contemporary and classical flavours of these two ensembles in the funky Light Room Bar at Adelaide's Centre of Immersive Light and Art. Harp2Harp is a duo of acclaimed pedal harpist and soprano Emma Horwood in spine tingling harmony with award-winning singer songwriter Visnja on Celtic harp. Visnja’s band The VAMS play lively catchy songs with more strings to boot – Ash on mandolin, Mike on guitar and Simon on double bass and Emma bringing guest vocals too. Join this troupe of friends performing heavenly melodies that will make your Sunday light and bright.

Harp2Harp is an enchanting duo weaving the heavenly sounds of two harps and two female voices. Acclaimed pedal harpist/ soprano Emma Horwood joins forces with award winning singer/songwriter and folk harpist Visnja (pronounced ‘Vishnya’). With their two different harps and contrasting vocal timbres, Harp2Harp blend classical finesse with contemporary and world music flavours. Fronted by Visnja, we ramp up the strings with new folk band The VAMS, joined by Ash on mandolin, Mike on guitar and Simon on double bass. If you love the melodic and evocative work of the likes of Kate Bush, Enya and Loreena McKennit with a bonus touch of Balkan spirit, you will love Harp2Harp and The VAMS.
