Natyam Repertory Mime Troupe
The mime performance Life explores the transitional concept of freedom, contrasting nature's spontaneity with the human spirit's quest for liberation. It portrays freedom as the ability to live authentically, without shame or guilt, and to embrace joy, desires, and self-expression. Natyam Repertory Mime Troupe, established on April 30, 2010, has participated in numerous festivals by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, ITI, and others, showcasing innovative mime art. Initially non-professional, the group aims to establish a professional mime movement to address contemporary socio-economic challenges. Driven by creativity and a passion for theater, Natyam aspires to advance the art of mime in Bangladesh and beyond.

Subhasish Datta Tanmoy, born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, holds M.A. degrees in History from Dhaka College and Film & Media from Stamford University. Coming from a cultural family, with a grandfather and father as renowned makeup artists and an aunt as an actress, he has been involved in theater since childhood. He pursued acting and mime through courses at Abdullah Al Mamun Theatre School, Prachayanat, and workshops with global mime artists like Parthoprotim Mazumder. A founder member and Director of Programming at Natyam Repertory, he has acted in acclaimed plays such as Damer Madar and Bagh. Performing in Bangladesh and India, he is now a highly recognized mime artist and theater practitioner.
