Beating Up The Beatles
Beating a new beat for lovers of The Beatles is Charlee Watt, powerhouse vocalist and Fringe Emerging Artist Award winner. Returning to Fringe after winning the Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Encore Award, Charlee and her own FAB4 are ready to bring back the vibes. Charlee explores the ideas of love through the lyrics of Lennon and McCartney from "You can't buy me love" right through to "All you need is love" while channeling the jazz sass and arrangements of classic Beatles songs as sung by legends of the jazz world. You and your friends are invited to enjoy this new fusion of sounds as Charlee and band, "Beat up" The Beatles with new grooves and insights into old hits and memories.

Charlee Watt continues to emerge as a creative character, with interests in songwriting, playwriting, theatre and Cabaret, taking every opportunity to learn more about the world and herself. In 2021 Charlee received the Nathanial O’Brien Class of Cabaret scholarship and was bitten by the Cabaret bug. 2025 is Charlee's 4th Adelaide Fringe season. In 2022 at only 17, Charlee premiered ‘Both Sides Now – Joni and Carole – An Interweaving of Blue and Tapestry’ to Fringe and in her first sell-out season was awarded a weekly prize as an emerging artist. In 2023 Charlee reinvented and extended the show to create 'Make Your Own Kind Of Music' with another successful run and a 4 star review. 2024/25, The Beatles became the vibe with 4 and 5 star reviews, a Melbourne tour and "Shows on the Road".
