Elf Lyons - Raven - Elf stares directly at the viewer, her face looks concerned, a hint of fear in her eyes. Against a dark maroon backdrop, she's dress in a black cap-sleeved top and fingerless gloves. Her hands, adorned with long spiked black finger-nails rest on her cheeks and lips as if she's seen something shocking. She has red vertical smudges on her upper and lower eyelids - a nod to harlequin make-up - and matching red-pink lipstick.

Was denied entry last night because the performer (apparently) has a no latecomers admitted policy. At no stage in the promotion or ticketing process is this information provided. Had I been aware of that policy, I would have accepted the situation resignedly, but was very unhappy.
Reuben Kaye - APOCALIPSTIK - Reuben stands under a spotlight. He has a wide smile.

A selection of fantastic light installations around the Botanic Garden, this is a great way to experience the iconic location in a new way during Fringe.

A hilarious tech-driven interactive comedy (but you interact from your seats). Sure, it starts as normal bingo, but the games and activities become increasingly outlandish as the show progresses. We had so much silly fun with this!
England & Son - An old style black and white photo of the Face of Mark Thomas, a man with an unshaven face and shaved head staring seriously into the camera, stuck on a pale green brick wall. Next to it is another black and white photo of him as a boy also pinned to the wall.

I cannot recommend Elf Lyons' show, Raven highly enough. Beautifully engaging from the moment she walked onto the stage. She takes her captivated audience, through some incredible storytelling, culminating in a highly energetic climax, encouraged by every single audience member.

Natural wonders has elevated the Adelaide Fringe into a fresh and exciting intersection between arts and nature. All the installations were beautifully projected. In particular; Project : Earth could possibly be the most innovative, creative, visually and sonically stimulating experience that planet earth has ever had the privilege of hosting. Truly a master-class. I can't wait for the next awe inspiring instalment from Michael Ellingford and Liam Somerville.
Role To Cast LIVE - The four cast members of Role To Cast pose and smile at the camera from behind their game table at The Lost Dice Cafe. From left to right they are Ellen, Sean, Phil and Chris. They are lit in bright colours and wearing 1930s inspired clothing.

I am a big enjoyer of TTRPG podcasts like role to cast, but bringing this show to a live audience hits something so different and special. the immediate sense of community as you enter the venue is unlike any show I’ve seen this year at the fringe - if you have even the smallest inkling interest in the world of TTRPG - let this be your gateway!
