Animal Farm
Language commands. Labor obeys.
In this immersive theatre experiment, audiences enter a training center where they’re no longer passive spectators, but obedient recruits—assigned missions, given commands, and trained to become compliant human machines.
Inspired by Orwell’s Animal Farm and Foucault’s Discipline and Punish, this powerful work confronts Asia’s obsession with productivity and linguistic control. Through choreographed command drills, ritualistic labor, and unsettling audience interaction, the piece reveals how power embeds itself in speech, movement, and silence.
Built on East Asian aesthetics and authoritarian codes, the space blurs the line between stage and reality, between person and performer, between freedom and conditioning.
Are you speaking out of choice or compliance?
