Drag king Jimmy Finger straddles a classic black motorcycle in a gritty, graffiti-covered Melbourne alleyway. With a towering quiff, thick moustache, aviator sunglasses, and a rolled-up white short-sleeve shirt, he leans forward with attitude, gripping the handlebars like he owns the street. His blue jeans and black boots complete the retro rockabilly look, while the dramatic dark sky above adds cinematic edge to the urban backdrop.

Zo Star is Jimmy Finger: In Too Deep

A one-woman, drag-king comedy-cabaret about Jimmy Finger, a motorbike-riding Rockabilly Boganite with a magic finger.

In a bid to try and fill the void left by his absent Mum, Jimmy tries to take life by the balls by burning rubber and filling holes, and it’s clear he is on a collision course with himself.

Until… to the rescue, comes creator and clown, Zo Star. Turning up when you least expect it Zo Star injects Jimmy Finger’s story with moments of truth-telling about her life as a mature-age artist and mum.

As is true of Zo Star’s unique style, this show demonstrates her extraordinary gift for character work, physical humour and brave storytelling, striking just the right blend of hilarity and heart with a quintessentially revealing twist before landing squarely in genuine authenticity.

This show is for people who love absurd comedy, are open minded about non-traditional sexuality, nudity, and are not afraid of audience participation.
