Two male dancers on all fours face each other on stage, leaning forward and shouting into each other’s faces. One wears a light patterned shirt with dark trousers, the other a blue shirt with beige trousers, both illuminated by warm stage lighting on a dark reflective floor.
Two male dancers perform a lift on stage. One dancer, standing barefoot, supports the other horizontally across his body, holding him close in a strong yet tender embrace. They wear light, casual clothing, illuminated by warm stage lighting against a dark background.

What songs may do...

This contemporary dance duet celebrates love in all its diversity. Intense, poetic and emotional, the piece
examines and exposes the fractured relationship of a once romantic couple as they delve into their
past in an attempt to rebuild their future together. Through Nina Simone’s music, the piece shines a
light on our deep-rooted connection to memories through music and proposes the power of what songs may (actually) do.
