The extensive grounds and Village main street with shopfronts and other historical interesting features means that outdoor events, depending on the weather, can be very successful.
There are two toilet blocks, including one large toilet near the entrance which caters for wheelchairs and has baby change facilities.
Note that during the normal opening hours, Tuesday through to Sunday from 10am to 4pm there is an entrance fee for visitors. Adults $12, Concessions/Students $10, Family $30, groups of 15 or more $8 a head. If an event or exhibition is held during our opening hours, visitors must pay an entry fee into the Village in order to view or attend a function. A special event-only entry fee could be negotiated.
Out of normal opening hours, visitors attending a function, exhibition or show would need to only pay whatever the fee is to attend the show, if there is one.
A very reasonable hall hire may be charged, and easily negotiated. Charity events can be granted a waiver of hire fees.

Step-free mobility aid accessible
Step-free mobility aid access through the main entrance with an accessible bathroom.
- Venue and Space entrance is accessible for a person with limited mobility, this includes people who use a wheelchair and/or cannot climb stairs.
- The entrance to the venue and/or space is through the main entrance.
- If the path of travel to the entrance of the venue and/or space is level, firm and obstacle-free
- The Venue has a designated accessible unisex toilet or have made alternative arrangements nearby for an accessible unisex toilet.
