Troppo Italia
On the back of three sellout shows at Darwin Fringe in 2025, 'Troppo Italia' is coming to Adelaide in 2026 as part of its national tour 'Troppo: Highway to Hole'.
What does it mean to be Troppo?
For residents of the Top end, “Troppo” is used describe the charm, complexity and challenges of life in the Territory. In Italian, the word translates to ‘a lot’ or ‘too much’. Written and performed by one of the Top End's most tolerated artists, Troppo Italia presents the lives of Tony Business, Nonna Binary and Gloria Hole to explore what it means to be Troppo (too much), in a Troppo world.
This solo drag-theatre show uses storytelling, music, audio-visuals and movement, to present a glamorously camp and heartfelt Italian drag spectacle of self-discovery, connection, family and community.
