The Leftovers
Every seven years, I rebuild every cell in my body.
Every seven years, my life begins again.
Each life begins unknowingly as my new body learns how to place one foot in front of the other.
I’m standing in a graveyard of the discarded me’s I’ve left behind.
I am relying on my past bodies to remember.
‘The Leftovers’ returns to the Adelaide Fringe after a sold out season in 2022, combining highly theatrical contemporary dance by Motus Collective and unique sculpture installation by Nicholas Hanisch. Featuring an entirely South Australian cast of emerging artists, ‘The Leftovers’ is a deep dive on what makes us human and the stories that shape us, explored with depth, quirkiness and heart.
