Sun Songs
Two great singers Louis King (Melbourne) and Pat Powell (Sydney) backed by an all-star blues band celebrate the music of legendary Memphis label Sun Records whose founder Sam Phillips recorded black artists when no-one else would.
The Jamaican and the Scot will alternate presenting the black and white
of Sun Records, performing fiery, toe-tapping renditions of the best of
Ike Turner, Johnny Cash, B B King, Elvis Presley, Little Walter and more
including Mystery Train, Walk The Line, Rocket 88 and Great Balls of
Fire.
