Stephen first came to prominence in 1992, earning Best Actor at The N.Z Film awards for the role of Firpo in End of the Golden Weather.
He wrote and performed the highly successful solo comedy/drama Blowing It, which toured throughout New Zealand, Australia, Berlin, UK and Edinburgh, from 1999 - 2015.
He has 28 years professional acting and writing experience. in theatre, film and television, including: Fresh Eggs; Braindead; Pop Up globe as Jaques in "As you like it".
He wrote and performed solo comedy piece "Third Person Tense!" 2012.
He was nominated Best Actor for both The NZ Film Awards and the American independent movie makers’ The Maverick Awards for his role as Misha in Russian Snark (2010).
