Severe Lacerations to Head
Political comedy at it's very best. Hilarious and clever as hell.
This is all a bit f**ked. We should talk about it. An hour of satire from Have I Got News For You writer and award-winning comedian Kate Smurthwaite on the state of the world and the world of the state. Why is this happening, is there anything we can do and what, if anything, remains? To be clear about the title…This is a show about genocide and fascism. The stuff about traumatic brain injury is just there for light relief.
“ Kate is a countercultural force of nature” The Morning Star, 2025
Lounge bar will be open for cinema style snacks and drinks (beer wine etc)

I had a fab time at Severe Lacerations... which I highly recommend if you give a sh*t about what’s going on in the world...don't miss out! - Bronwen Winter Phoenix, Edinburgh Reviews
No ordinary comedian...an utterly fearless firebrand with a hell of a lot to say...a performer who is not just funny but fiercely alive. - Tiffany Barton, The Scoop
