"Senseful(less)ness: Reimagined"
A visceral solo dance work exploring the tension between sense and senselessness, memory and emotion. Blending Afro-contemporary and contemporary movement with stillness, voice, and rhythm, this piece dives into the lived experience of mental health, identity, and resilience.
Inspired by South African roots and shaped within an Australian context, it becomes a moving conversation about holding oneself together while falling apart. Raw, poetic, and deeply human, this performance invites audiences to witness vulnerability as strength and movement as survival.
One session will feature an Afro-contemporary movement workshop open to all dancers and movers, unpacking the unique movement vocabulary used by the artist.
Please arrive early to settle in — doors open 15 minutes before the show. Street parking nearby.
