Sanchita Bayul Band
Baul music, a unique folk tradition from Bengal, reflects the region's essence, focusing on equality, humaneness, and the search for the divine within. Originating from a deep longing to find God in one's own being, Baul songs are a form of worship, revealing the mysticism of Sadhana-Bhajan. The Sanchita Bayul Band, formed on September 12, 2019, specializes in Baul music, including Baul and Sadhu styles like Lalan Sangeet. The band has performed on national TV, at international venues, and festivals like the Dhaka World Music Festival. Using traditional instruments like the ektara, dotara, dhol, and flute, the band blends contemporary relevance with traditional Baul melodies to showcase Bengali culture worldwide.
