A woman in her creative prime, International Speaker, Concert Artist and Songwriter Karen Jacobsen's timeless, cinematic, piano-driven songs have been licensed to US network television and she was called “hypnotic” by Harry Connick Jr. Her speaking voice unexpectedly ended up in a billion GPS and smartphone devices and as the original Australian voice of Siri. A Songwriters Hall of Fame Abe Olman Scholarship winner, AIR Award & QMA nominated, Jacobsen composed the Misogyny Opus, setting former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s misogyny speech to music word for word in a one hour pop orchestral work. Co-Founder of the Whitsundays Songwriter Festival, she has recorded 6 of her 14 albums since 2020, premiered the Misogyny Opus with musicians from the QSO at the MECC and is an Author.
