Thomas began his career in the 1960s collaborating with Ebo Taylor. In 1974, he formed the “Sweet Beans” and released his debut album False Lover, followed by Pat Thomas Introduces Marijata with the band Marijata. After the 1979 coup, he moved to Berlin and later to Canada. He now tours globally with the Kwashibu Area Band, releasing their 2015 album to celebrate his 50-year career, singing mainly in Fante.
