On My Skin

Music
South Australia • SA Premiere

Aurora, Adelaide's hottest a cappella women's vocal ensemble sings about modern day love and relationships. Featuring music by amazing Adelaide composers, David John Lang's 'Text Message Fails' is all about modern communication and Rachel Bruerville's 'Lost' explores the relationship of families across generations.

Amidst the laughter, tears, glitter and confetti, there is glorious music with sublime harmonies. Aurora's charm is gorgeous singing, great humour and the secret knowledge we have that every tale we tell has happened to one of you. With folk, world, pop and contemporary comedy, 'On my skin' is a must-see show. Have a wine, bring your tissues, hold the hand of the one you love. With dustpan or dyson optional, you'll leave wanting to tattoo Aurora's name over your heart.

Presented by: Aurora, Young Adelaide Voices

Aurora is the senior vocal ensemble of internationally renowned South Australian youth choir Young Adelaide Voices, under the direction of YAV Artistic Director Christie Anderson.

A diverse and talented ensemble, Aurora performs a range of repertoire from early music to contemporary pop. Highlights have included Adelaide Festival’s world premiere of “Memorial” with Brink Theatre in 2018 and the Festival’s opening night “Symphony for our World” in 2019, singing in the orchestral pit with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for the Australian Ballet’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and singing on stage with the Rolling Stones at the Adelaide Oval. Fearless in the face of dust, large moths and owls, the girls have recently returned from the incredible Desert Song Festival in Alice Springs.
