Kieran Bullock Builds IKEA Furniture and Talks To The Audience

Comedy • Interactive

"The title says it all really, and so it should. It's quite long. You. Me. Swedish flat-pack furniture."

Join Kieran Bullock (Elwood Social Club, Big Hoo-Haa Melbourne) for a quite frankly baffling evening of home renovation masquerading as entertainment. Stories, jokes, and other nonsense all set against the background of a man building a piece of furniture on stage. Will Kieran beat the clock? Or will the bookcase* end up held together primarily through gaffer tape and determination?

*won't be a bookcase every night

We've all been through the humiliation of trying to build flat-pack furniture. Now you can come and watch someone else go through the punishment! What's the Swedish word for schadenfreude?!

Grab your allen keys, your frozen meatballs, and let's get ready to rumble!

Presented by: Elwood Social Club Productions

Elwood Social Club Productions is a comedy and theatre production founded by Kieran Bullock and focussed on delivering fast-paced original comedy theatre. Previous productions include the West End smash Hitchcock comedy The 39 Steps, Joe Orton's farce Funeral Games, and an original play written by Kieran called The Ides of March, which toured Perth and Adelaide in 2019 and is returning to the Adelaide Fringe in 2020 for a week at the Bakehouse Theatre.

Comedy and entertainment are at the heart of all Elwood Social Club productions - a return to the days of old where people went to the theatre to be entertained! Much like going to the cinema or watching TV. Theatre as entertainment - somewhat old school, but still completely relevant.
