Izwe Le Bhorholo
"Izwe le Bhorholo" (Land of Hardships) is an 55 minute African Contemporary dance production about Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego. The production tells a tale of 3 God-fearing men from the Book of Daniel. In the narrative, the three Jewish men are thrown into fiery furnace by Nebuchadnezzar II, King of Babylon for refusing to bow to the King's Image. The production will be performed by 6 dancers, 4 versatile singer and 4-piece band, fusing dance, text, poetry and Soulful music.
Our art originates from hallucinations only we can see from the dusty streets of RSA, JHB Soweto. We translate the hallucinations and obsessional images that plague me into dance and choreography of our performing arts at Dinganga Theatre Creations.

Thabang Ramaila was born on the 5th of October 1978. He started performing as an actor in 1996. In 1999 he joined Jabavu Anti-Crime Aids Awareness (JACAAYA). That’s where he co-created his Award-winning play “Amabhantiti”, an anti-crime play which premiered at the Stop Crime Drama Festival. “Amabhantiti” went on to tour schools around Soweto. At JACAAYA he was introduced to African & Traditional dance. In June 2000 he was recruited by Halala Afrika Theatre Society (HAATS), that’s where he developed Artistic skills of directing, scriptwriting & choreography. After 5 months at HAATS, he became the director. He directed his 1st play “Beyond 2000” workshopped by him & the artists. “Beyond 2000” was an Aids awareness drama play, and it went on to win 3 awards (Best Director, Best play &
