Hooked - a crochet exhibition
A visual feast of creativity and immersion in the wondrous world of crochet.
This exhibition represents the collections of crochet addicts Kristin Phillips and Lianne Gould, who collect, study and make crochet. Featuring over 100 pieces of works collected and created by the artists and demonstrating a range of styles and techniques, the exhibition also includes vintage patterns, sample books and over two centuries of crochet hooks.
The traditional doilies, jug covers, knee rugs and tea cosies might remind you of your grandma, but there is a costume from the swinging sixties and other items that might scare grandma's pants off! This exhibition will open your eyes to the diversity of crochet including the reimagined and radical works of today, in the hope that you too will become hooked.
