Hannah Maxwell: I, AmDram
For musical theatre fans and haters alike, don't miss the return of this award-winning love letter to hometown, family, and the cult of English amateur dramatics.
Join Hannah Maxwell for a joy-filled hour of amdram anecdotes, musical parodies and very basic choreography, telling the painfully-true story of her final year with her family's community theatre company; from her woeful audition for My Fair Lady, to coming out as gay (less traumatic).
I, AMDRAM has been performed 150+ times, charming audiences across the globe.

Hannah Maxwell is a theatremaker, comedian and raconteur from Hertfordshire, England. Her work is radically unradical and nonchalantly queer, blending spoken word, stand-up, music, multimedia and improvisation with the audience. Her solo shows, including I, AmDram, Nan, Me & Barbara Pravi and BABYFLEAREINDEERBAG, have toured internationally and garnered rave reviews, standing ovations and awards at Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, including a Weekly Best of Theatre Award, Lustrum Award and a nomination for the BBC Popcorn Award for New Writing. She developed a storytelling card game with her uncle (poet Glyn Maxwell) called Best Day Ever, and hosts the Best Day Ever podcast. As a director/dramaturg, she supports emerging artists to create impactful autobiographical performance.
