First Time Ever I Saw Your Face..Songs of Ewen MacColl & Peggy Seeger
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. The songs of Ewen MacColl & Peggy Seeger. Two of the great singer songwriters. The concert coordinated by Dave will have a host of selected guests from the South Australian Folk Scene singing and playing Ewen and Peggy's songs. MacColl wrote First Time Ever I saw Your Face and Dirty Old Town recorded by many artists. Peggy Seeger Seeger found her feminist awakening after she'd written the the 1970 song I'm Gonna Be An Engineer, which was embraced by the women's movement. You can sing along with The Shoals of Herring and Manchester Rambler plus many other songs.
Singing Gazebo venue is an enclosed, acoustic space by the Onkaparinga River in Clarendon. After you have booked with Adelaide Fringe please reserve your table seating or get further information from at dave@sing4you.com.au or via mobile 0413 358 618

I am a folk singer and songwriter, playing a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, concertina and ukulele. I have travelled widely singing my songs to anyone who wants to listen to a good song. My journey has taken me all over the world and soon I will be taking a group to Himachal Pradesh, Northern India on a musical and tourism adventure. Check out the words of "It Will Surely Take Your Breath Away" in my Song Section of website
I love songs that say something. In 1982 I wrote "Roll On Wild Rivers" as part of the Save the Franklin River Campaign. Many people sing my song and that's great. Along with my late wife Kate we presented an Adelaide Fringe show in 2022 on Reconciliation.
