Empty nest

Triggered by a visceral response of seeing the whole of a life in the tiny, seemingly aged body of a baby bird, 'Empty nest' examines the enduring experience of motherhood.

The work invites consideration of the parallel life journeys shared between birds and humanity.

Participants are invited to enter a nest and consider what an empty nest means to them.

Are you leaving or being left?

Write a note to those left behind, those leaving or your future selves.

An opportunity for connection, expression, and introspection.
