Don't Hate The Player

Theatre and Physical Theatre
New South Wales • SA Premiere
A witty and fresh tale of youth both trapped and liberated by technology. Darcy and her reluctant sister enter the world of a virtual reality video game where they find themselves working as drug-ring receptionists. Inside, IT histories are available to all players and there's no way of knowing if those you meet are real or simulated. This contemporary comedy evokes a new reality for both the characters and the audience. How many games do we play already? The show premiered in Sydney at the Old Fitz Theatre in October 2019 to sell out audiences. Featuring Atharv Kolhatkar (God of Carnage, Curry Kings of Parramatta), Maddie Osborne (Love and Information), Cassius Russell (Trainspotting, Robots Vs. Art) and Rhiannon Watson (The Bald Soprano). Written by Laura McDonald and directed by Melanie Tweddell.
