Cold Comfort Farm

After a highly successful 2025 Fringe season, FBTC are excited to present Paul Doust’s hilarious play 'Cold Comfort Farm.'

When the ever practical and impeccably poised Flora Poste finds herself orphaned, she is forced to move to the country with her eccentric relatives at the gloomy, dilapidated Cold Comfort Farm. With her unshakable common sense, sharp wit, and a desire for order, Flora sets out to tidy their dysfunctional lives, which are dominated by the tyrannical matriarch Aunt Ada Doom. What follows is a whirlwind of chaotic charm, and outrageous antics as she brings modern good sense to rustic madness.

Adapted from Stella Gibbons’ beloved satirical novel, this fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy set in the 1930s celebrates the absurd, the romantic, and the gloriously ridiculous!
