Headlock follows Farsa and Farnoush, two Iranian female wrestlers preparing for their first international competition. The stage becomes their training ground, a space where their bodies push to the edge of exhaustion.
The performance is a raw and intimate exploration of these two women's lives, showcasing the struggle of pushing personal limits and the complexities of their relationship.
As they train, they also grapple with learning English, highlighting the challenges of navigating a new world beyond their familiar borders. ‘Headlock’ a journey into the hearts of these two women, exposing the vulnerability and resilience that lie beneath their strength. Their shared experience unfolds on the mat, exposing the delicate balance between ambition, friendship, and personal struggles.
