Adelaide Roots and Blues Association (ARBA) is a not-for-profit group that aims to:
Support and promote South Australian Roots and Blues artists locally, nationally and internationally.
Promote and foster a wider appreciation of roots and blues music across South Australia.
To support the achievement of these aims ARBA is committed to the following goals in the calendar year of 2017:
Our signature event is the annual "Memphis Blues challenge", our live judged music competition. We support the band and solo duo winners to travel to Memphis each year to compete in the International Blues Challenge. We also run the "Gumbo room" Blues jam in conjunction with the Gov, in the front bar of The Gov every Thursday night. We will be rolling out our ARBA "Youth in Blues" initiative early in 2018.
