Join acclaimed Adelaide harpist/soprano Emma Horwood for an enchanting concert of music from period dramas with readings from classic literature. Featuring songs from screen adaptations of Jane Austen novels including "Pride & Prejudice", "Emma", "Sense & Sensibility" and "Persuasion" with music from the Regency era. This dramatic 70-minute recital will also explore the soundtracks of other popular costume dramas including "Poldark", "Outlander", "North and South", "Cranford", "Miss Potter" and "Anne of Green Gables". A period drama enthusiast, Emma's passion will bring to life this wonderful music which will be highlighted by dramatic introductions and readings. Performed in the beautiful surrounds of historic Urrbrae House this will be a celebration of romance and music not to be missed!

Emma is a music graduate of the University of Adelaide and much in demand as a performer, teacher and choral conductor. A leading soprano soloist and ensemble singer in Adelaide, Emma is a member of the acclaimed Adelaide Chamber Singers, with whom she has toured internationally and performed at WOMAD, in the Coriole, Huntington Estate and Adelaide Festivals, live on ABC Classic FM and with the Rolling Stones. Emma presents frequent solo recitals, including performances in the Ngeringa and Elder Lunchhour concert series, with Adelaide Baroque and sell-out solo shows in the Adelaide Fringe. Emma performs frequently as harpist and vocalist at weddings and functions and also enjoys private teaching and choral conducting. Emma has recorded five solo CD’s which have featured on ABC Classic FM.
