Adventure Before Dementia

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Spoken Word

Do you know how Tasmania came to be or whether Eddie McGuire should ride a bicycle? What about the joys of getting old. Old Jack the Aussie Gleeman does. Join raconteur and poet, John R. Sabine, as he unpacks his mortal coil of 80 years to tell like it is with yarns and verse that will make you laugh and think and smile and be glad to be alive.

Whether as a sportsman, scholar or actor, for John, life is an adventure and now he wants to tell you about what’s he’s learned and why you can teach old dogs new tricks (he should know!), what morality we can learn from Russians (really?) and why wombats have hairy noses. Wit, wisdom and wishful thinking in poetry, prose and a mixture thereof. It’s a joy for all when Old Jack gets on his feet. Join him this Fringe before the adventure is over.
