AirAsia Takes Off with Adelaide Fringe, Powering Midweek Treat Deals

Mon, Feb 2 2026
Adelaide Fringe has today announced a brand new partnership with AirAsia, with the airline joining the 2026 season to power Fringe’s Midweek Treat campaign. While tickets can be purchased at any time, the initiative only lends itself to shows happening on a Wednesday, designed to get more audiences into shows during the week.

To mark the new partnership, Adelaide Fringe and AirAsia are giving audiences the chance to turn a midweek night out into a future getaway, with the campaign theme: “Fringe Today. Fly Tomorrow.”
Buy any Midweek Treat ticket and go in the draw to win one of two AirAsia point packs, each worth $1,500* to spend on flights.
Adelaide Fringe has also created an artist incentive as part of the campaign, with participating artists eligible to win AirAsia flight points too, giving artists another reason to champion Midweek Treat tickets across their own channels and encourage audiences to book Wednesday sessions.

Adelaide Fringe Acting CEO Tara MacLeod said, “Midweek Treat is about giving people a reason to say yes to a Wednesday night out. With artists choosing their own discount, it’s a practical way to fill houses midweek, build momentum into the weekend, and keep Fringe feeling accessible for audiences who are watching their budgets. Partnering with AirAsia adds a fun layer of possibility, because your Midweek Treat could genuinely turn into a getaway.”

Benyamin Ismail, General Manager AirAsia said, “AirAsia is all about making travel more accessible, and Adelaide Fringe is all about making culture feel open and for everyone. This new partnership brings those ideas together. We’re excited to give Fringe audiences the chance to turn a midweek plan into a future flight, and to encourage more people to get out, support artists, and see what they can discover on a Wednesday night.”

Midweek Treat has a strong track record of shifting behaviour and driving sales. In 2025, 11,429 Midweek Treat tickets were sold with the campaign expected to assist artists move midweek tickets even more across the 2026 season.
