If you’ve got it, flaunt it! And flaunt it these uber talented Adelaide born and bred performers certainly do. It’s sensual, provocative, titillating, athletic, and very, very cheeky. But at the same time, powerfully feminine.

You enter The Lark (quite a small venue) in Gluttony to the sight of a white bath sitting impressively on stage, a hint of what’s to come. Soon there are feathers (it is burlesque after all), an invisible costume change, impossibly high heels, sparkles and powerful vocals from Eliza Dickson. Eliza’s rendition of the Bilie Eilish O’connell / Finneas Baird O’connell number “Not My Responsibility is a highlight – asking the question that underlies much of the theme of the show “Is my value based only on your perception?”

Led by the amazing and impressively lithe temptress Madam Fafi D’Alour, each member of the troop has her moment in the sun, each displaying their particular talent, embracing jazz, contemporary dance, burlesque and acrobatics. Not to mention their amazing strength and agility.

And if that breadth of performance isn’t enough, the fiery finale delivers an unexpected and breathtaking punch – to Fafi as well as to the audience.

This show will benefit from its move to a bigger venue (The Peacock) for future performances – a distance from the performers will help create more of an air of mystery and hopefully afford a more fitting stage entrance for the cast.

Performances have been selling out – check the Fringe on-line guide for info re dates and venues.
